Fun For Kids
Who says learning about tooth decay, prevention and good oral health can’t be fun? Test your tooth IQ with games and puzzles, print fun pictures to color, and read stories related to dental care. Have fun and keep smiling!
Never leave a bottle filled with milk or juice in the crib with your baby overnight.
After each bottle, clean your baby’s gums with Branam Tooth Gel to remove plaque-like film (for babies 4 months – 1 year).
Use a Branam Ortho-Gibby Pacifier. Unlike conventional pacifiers, the Branam Ortho-Gibby Pacifier promotes proper oral and jaw development and reduces the risk of ear infections.
Make sure your child stops using a conventional pacifier by 1 year of age – preferably at 10 months.
Brush your child’s teeth at least twice a day, in the morning, after breakfast and before bedtime.
Limit snacks between meals, serve healthy snacks that won’t promote tooth decay and encourage brushing after every snack or meal.
Some foods and drinks, like candy and soft drinks, should be reserved for (very) special occasions only.
As a parent, maintain your own good oral hygiene habits, use xylitol and fluoride products daily (especially when your children are under age 6) and get regular dental checkups from a preventive-oriented general dentist.
Start early preventive care for your child with a pediatric dentist at age 1. The goal of the pediatric dentist is to help educate the parent about proper care to promote good dental health and prevent ECC.
Ask your dentist about xylitol. A good dentist will know.
